Professor Franco Taroni from University of Lausanne, Switzerland delivered a short course on topic of Probabilistic inference and scientific evidence evaluation

 

Invited by the "2011 Plan China Collaborative Innovation Center of Judicial Civilization, the "111 Plan" Base for Evidence Science Innovation and Talent Recruitment and the Institute of Evidence Law and Forensic Science, Professor Franco Taroni from University of Lausanne successfully gave six inspiring and interesting lectures on topic of "Probabilistic inference and scientific evidence evaluation" for CUPL graduate students from October 17th to October 22th, 2015.

 

 

 

 

 

The name of this course is Probabilistic inference and scientific evidence evaluation,and the course mainly refer to Probabilities and coherence,Bayes theorem in forensic science,Intuition fallacy,How to reasoning and make decision with Bayes network.Professor Taroni used case to carry out the teaching during the course,and the students actively participate in case discussion.The content of this course is very advanced and interesting. Professor Taroni and students have carried out full communication and discussion,The course has obtained the very good effect.
